Vitamin C
The body cannot manufacture Vitamin C. Must be obtained through the diet (or supplements). Vitamin C deficiency causes scurvy (poor wound healing, bleeding gyums, edema, extreme weakness, “pinpoint” hemorraghes under the skin; increased susceptibility to infection, especially colds and bronchial infections; joint pains,; lack of energy; poor digestion; prolonged healing time; tendency to bruise easily, tooth loss.
Antioxidant required for tissue growth and repair, adrenal gland function, healthy gums. Alcohol, analgesics, antidepressants, anticoagulants, oral contraceptives, steroids may reduce levels of Vitamin C in the body. Smoking causes serious depletion of vitamin C.

Enters blood stream and tissues x faster than standard C, moves into blood cells more efficiently, stays in tissues longer.??? (Avoid chewable vitamin C supplements, can damage tooth enamel).
