Fresh Strawberry Milk

Fresh Strawberry Milk

This retro 1950's recipe tastes like a melted Strawberry Milkshake. A special AE ingredient adds creaminess and flavor. Because it keeps for several days in the fridge, you can extend the enjoyment!

Mix the strawberries and sugar in a blender carafe and let stand for at least 1 hour, until very syrupy—the juicier the berries get, the better. Add the milk and buttermilk to the berries, then blend until smooth. Transfer the mixture to a pitcher and let the milk steep overnight in the fridge; mix it again before serving. (You can also use ripe peaches instead of strawberries.)
