Beef Stroganoff Lite

This hearty entree gets a makeover with AE Fat Free Sour Cream.

  • 1 pound sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/8 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
  • 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup (10 3/4 oz)
  • 1 1/4 cups AE Fat Free Sour Cream
  • 1 package egg noodles (8 oz)
  • 8 fresh parsley sprigs (for garnish)


In large skillet over medium high heat, brown beef strips. Drain excess fat. Add chopped onion and sauté until tender (about 5 minutes). Stir in flour and spices (salt, paprika, black pepper). Add contents of soup can. Reduce heat to medium low; simmer for 15 minutes. At the end of 15 minutes, add sour cream, stirring well.

Prepare egg noodles according to package directions. Serve beef mixture over egg noodles and garnish with parsley sprigs.
