Egg Nog Upside Down French Toast

French Toast made delicious and easy (the night before) with its own caramel syrup.

  • 2 tablespoons corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups AE Egg Nog (any variety)
  • Ground cinnamon and nutmeg
  • French bread, or hearty whole grain bread
  • Snow Topping



Combine the corn syrup, butter and brown sugar and melt over low heat.  Pour into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.  Slice bread into 2-inch thick slices and place on top of the syrup mixture.

Stir together the eggs and egg nog and pour over the bread.  Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.  Cover and refrigerate over night.  Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes.  Serve with Snow Topping.
